Things you may want to know...
My name is Sue Trosvig. My passion for stained glass began with a class I took in 1983. Since then I have been inspired and captivated by the colors, textures and interplay of light and glass. This interest has resulted in new challenges, travels and many new friends. I have attended classes and seminars from Baltimore to Seattle, searching for new techniques, knowledge and products which will make my work in glass more artistic and meaningful. I have won awards in several competitions with my creations.
The main focus of my work has been residential installations such as: sidelights and doorlights for entries, bathroom windows for privacy, cabinet doors and framed hanging panels. The subject matter of my work has ranged from nature to classic bevels, from whimsical pieces to contemporary. Nature has always been a major inspiration.
Computer aided design has enabled me to create "unique, one of a kind pieces", select glass and email designs to clients for their approval.
More recently I have incorporated fusing techniques, frit work and slumping into art pieces.
I welcome questions about my work and art glass in general.
Serving the Twin Cities metropolitan area since 1985.
